How would you like to experience joy in your life every minute of every day? You have the power to create that!
Imagine thinking of yourself as an amazingly magnificent Being. What would that look like? Are you a person of integrity, doing what you say you’ll do? Can you be trusted? Are you responsibly fair minded and free of judgments of yourself and others and open to new ideas? Do you accept and include others? Are you a rare individual who listens with compassion? Do you act out of choice rather than react because of old issues and beliefs that are stuck in your subconscious? Do you hold onto inappropriate thoughts and feelings that may not be serving you right now? Are you willing to let go of them and forgive yourself and others? Do you understand the anatomy of an upset? Are you aware that you can change your point of view from the moment of thought to the center of insanity and everywhere in between? Are you willing to hear other points of view and accept other perceptions that may be as valid as your own? Are you genuine or are you superficial? Can you take problems and create opportunities for solutions? Are you a communicator? Do you share and get along well with others? Are you affected by what other people think about you? How is your attitude? Do you appreciate who you are from the inside out? Are you grateful and do you generate generosity with your time, your energy and your support of others? Do you take care of yourself by keeping hydrated and putting food and products in and on your body that will support your health and well being?
Being present in the moment starts with how we think about ourselves. We create our own reality! The choices we made as we were growing up based on the conditions surrounding us determined one reality. The strength of our own personal identity and Self worth, and the value we place on who we authentically are, is another reality. They are both valid and exist at the same time. It is the lack of balance that creates our unhealthy environment. When we decide to make changes within ourselves, it’s not the circumstances of the realities that we change, but the part of us that identifies with these realities. It is ultimately our perception that changes equalizing our conscious and subconscious minds. When we believe we are amazingly magnificent just because we choose it , then no matter what happens, our value is never threatened and we will always end up being whole and in tact.
This is a quick process I use to practice staying in the moment: I take several deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth. I place one hand on my forehead and feel the pulse in that wrist with my other hand and let it remain there as I focus inward on how magnificent and valuable I am. I repeat to myself how worthy and deserving I am. I surrender to whatever is going on in and around me. I forgive and let go. I stay in touch with my experience of love and forgiveness and I allow everything to be just the way it is. I remind myself how grateful I am for choosing my life as it is. |
