A session with Jakki is anything but typical. From the moment you come in, you are treated as an individual, with unique needs. She allows an extra 30 min of time to each appointment to get to know you, give you time to discuss your needs and expectations and develop a treatment plan for the day. You are asked to communicate during the session to ensure you get what you need from each session. Treatments may include any of the following services and are completely customized each time.  I have been a practicing massage therapist since 1995 and have learned over a dozen wonderful healing techniques in that time. I have chosen to specialize in Reiki and a unique therapy called Jin Shin Do® because I have found it to be the most powerful tool for changing lives. I would like to share with you how it feels to be more in control of your life and how to feel better each day.

In my career, I have not only released muscle knots, but I have seen clients experience relief of pain, lightness, joint loosening, deep calm, quiet mind, improved immunity, better sleep, clear sinuses, deeper breathing, less acid reflux, less post- nasal drip, less worry, more focus, more joy and optimism, more empowerment & self-love 

HEALING IS A PROCESS. It implies resolution, but it can be spontaneous or take several sessions to get to the root of an issue.  The speed of your healing depends on how open you are to change and how easily you can trust. Because the body holds all our issues, we can use it as a tool for healing. It's wisdom knows how to protect us from harm, but that can go on overdrive when we get hurt repeatedly or stay in a constant state of stress. So in order to feel our gladness, we may need to feel our sadness. Releasing the past issues can result in a freedom you never knew could exist. The more you trust the process, the more freedom we can get!

The Journey into JOY Signature Healing Treatment

This signature treatment includes all bodywork modalities to renew the body and mind, balance emotions and restore flow of blood, lymph and chi to areas that may have been blocked by injury, thoughts or emotions. 

Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure® is a gentle, yet effective way of releasing chronic tension or “armoring”, balancing the “Qi” (energy), and improving vitality.  Jin Shin Do® uses gentle yet deep finger pressure on specific acu-points and verbal body focusing techniques to help restore balance. This clothes-on method helps relieve stress- and trauma-related problems. A unique synthesis of a traditional Japanese acupressure technique, classic Chinese acupuncture and acupressure theory, Taoist philosophy, Qigong (breathing and exercise techniques), Reichian segmental theory and principles of Ericksonian psychotherapy, it is recognized as a major form of Asian Bodywork Therapy originated by psychotherapist Iona Marsaa Teeguarden. Reiki Healing

Reiki means universal life force energy.  Ki (Qi) is what gives us life. Air, food and water provide Ki (Qi) that vibrates in us at a certain frequency. A healthy body frequency is 65-75hz. As it is present all around us, it can be transmitted from one person to another like radio waves send music through the radio.

  • ReiKi accelerates your body's natural healing abilities, removing energetic blocks and clearing stuck emotions.

  • It can support your own spiritual well being, but it is not associated with religion.

  • The concept of energy and frequency is based in pure science. The colors of the rainbow each have a wavelength of light that vibrates at a frequency. In our bodies, when you feel sick or depressed with low energy, you have a low frequency. If you are joyful, you are at a high frequency. When we receive Reiki, it raises our frequency. 

  • A Reiki Master is opened to this life force energy through a special attunement using ancient symbols. This allows them to direct healing energy to what you need.

 

A typical session in person is 45 min-1 hr long and is very relaxing.  Hands are placed on the body  or hovering over the body while you are fully clothed and they do not move around like a massage. The energy is transmitted very gently through the hands to the body. Remotely, a 20-30 minute session is typically enough to effect a change. Although seemingly short, these sessions can be quite powerful. Remote (distance) healing works just as well because energy is everywhere. By simply sitting with your picture or with you on the phone, you will feel the benefits. It is advised that you sit quietly while the energy is being sent but it is not necessary to be on the phone. Spiritual guidance may also come through if you are present on the phone via speakerphone.

More frequent sessions are suggested for acute conditions. For example, 3 daily remote sessions are indicated for healing a cold. Multiple sessions/week are indicated for chronic conditions like cancer and autoimmune disorders. These treatments can often alleviate side effects of medications and chemotherapy and support your traditional treatment.

Stress can either be of a physical or emotional source. As every particle of our universe is made of energy that carries a measurable vibration, so do our thoughts and feelings carry a vibration that can either raise or lower our physical body’s vibration and thus induce a relaxed or stressed state. The power of the mind over the body has been well documented over the past 1000 years,  and in recent years by Dr. Masaru Emoto in The Hidden Messages of Water. Dr. Emoto conducted an experiment with water whereby he showed that water from clear springs and water that had been exposed to loving words showed brilliant, complex and colorful snowflake patterns when frozen and viewed under the microscope, while polluted water or water exposed to negative words created incomplete, asymmetrical patterns with dull colors. This is so significant for us since our bodies are at least 70% water. Our sessions can help you harness this power of your mind to create the reality that you desire!
